Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 July 2026
This policy explains how Chapel and Tuck Limited (“Chapel & Tuck”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit our website or use our services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an open and transparent manner.
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, the data controller is Chapel and Tuck Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17281594) with its registered office at 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at hello@chapelandtuck.co.uk.
Information we collect
We collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Information you provide. When you join our waiting list, request early access, create an account or contact us, we collect details such as your name, email address and any message you send us.
- Account and billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we (and our payment provider) process the information needed to manage your subscription. We do not store full payment card details on our own systems.
- Usage and technical data. When you use the site we automatically collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and the dates and times of your visits, together with similar diagnostic data.
Please note that the school information presented on Chapel & Tuck is drawn from public records (for example the Charity Commission, the Department for Education and inspection bodies) and is not personal data about you as a visitor.
How we use your information
- To provide, operate and improve our website and services.
- To manage your account, subscription and any requests you make.
- To send you launch updates, service messages and — where you have consented — marketing.
- To understand how our site is used and to keep it secure and functioning properly.
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
Legal bases for processing
We rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR:
- Consent — for example, when you opt in to marketing or launch updates. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Contract — where processing is necessary to provide a service you have requested.
- Legitimate interests — to run, protect and improve our business, provided your rights do not override those interests.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to process data to comply with the law.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with trusted service providers who help us run our business — for example hosting, analytics and email providers — who act on our instructions and are bound to keep it secure. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection, such as relying on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this policy, including to meet any legal, accounting or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Subject to certain conditions, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to erase your data;
- restrict or object to our processing of your data;
- request a copy of your data in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@chapelandtuck.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are intended for adults and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
